Hi I'm Taylor Anderson

I like to try things, I like to learn things, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently am attending college, and am studying accounting. I am allergic to tree nuts. I love all sports, especially soccer and wrestling. During the winter I ski every chance I get, and during the summer I water-ski as much as possible. I run every Ragnar I can every year (12 man 200 mile relay race). Along with being active, I love the arts. I play the piano and I love to sing. I especially love to read literature. The Count of Monte Cristo is my favorite book. I speak Spanish. I especially love to travel and experience new cultures. I have visited Mexico, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and The Bahamas. I have lived in Utah, Montana, Illinois, Las Vegas, and Guatemala.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always known that Jesus is the Christ, and that my Father in Heaven loves me. There came a time in my life when I really wanted to know if the LDS Church, and The Book of Mormon were true. Since that day many prayers have been offered to know if this is Christ's true church here on the earth. The Lord, through the Holy Spirit, has answered my prayers many times over with unforgettable experiences and feelings that have confirmed to my soul that this is in fact His church. I have felt the love of God through this conversion process, and testify that Christ leads this church. I know that God answers every prayer, if we ask in faith and with real intent. I know that Jesus Christ in the Savior of all mankind. My love for him drives me to continue to repent and serve Him. I know that He has called prophets to guide us here on the earth, just as He did in ancient times.

How I live my faith

Living the gospel of Jesus Christ is more than a checklist of things to do and things that are prohibited. Living the gospel is striving to emulate the Saviors example. I try my best to do this by making every interaction with those around me a positive and uplifting one. Jesus Christ built up everyone around Him, and I strive to do the same. I am also a teacher for the single men in my area ages 18-30. In my class we talk about ways that we can improve as disciples of Christ. We focus a lot on how we can better perform our responsibilities as men in the church to teach, expound, exhort, baptize, and watch over the church.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Taylor Anderson
Missionaries will teach you primarily about Jesus Christ and His atonement. They will teach you about how you can come closer to Him. They will teach about the plan of salvation, and about how you can return to God and live with Him forever. They teach about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ and how you can know if what they are teaching is true. I know that it is true because I have prayed to know for myself and it has been confirmed to me by the power of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
