Hi I'm Harold Radcliffe

I grew up in Arizona. I am a Veteran who has deployed multiple times to Iraq. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Glendale, Arizona and currently live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was in the Active Duty Army for seven years and am currently serving in the Oklahoma National Guard. I have deployed multiple times to Iraq and am now enjoying my time in the United States. I have been married for 8 years, have two crazy sons. I am a recent member who has been in the church for less then two years. I currently work for a large oil and gas company named Baker Hughes as a project coordinator and am a full time student with the University of Phoenix online. I am working on my second Master's Degree thanks to the GI Bill which I plan to take full advantage of.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I never thought I would be Mormon, a particular missionary found me and taught me the truth in a way that I finally understood. Though other missionary groups had tried without success, he opened my eyes to just reading the Book of Mormon and giving the teachings a chance. Through this challenge I found the truth in the words and it has absolutely changed my life. My family and I are now sealed for eternity which is an amazing gift. Although I am now happy LDS member, there was a time that I was not supportive and did not like the church. I let the misconceptions that many people told me to dictate my beliefs. I was unwilling to open up to the idea of joining the LDS church for many years after leaving my previous church. I believed that they were pretentious and that the scripture was not for me. I could not have been more wrong. The Mormon people have proved to be nothing but accepting, nice, and helpful. They have never judged me regardless of what I may do. They are only there to help keep me on track and to help continue my growth through the gospel. This is an amazing church and I am so grateful to be a part of it. I look forward to an eternity of being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attempt to live my life through study and growth within the church. As a new member I have a lot to learn in order to live up to the standards that Christ has set for us. I am trying to take everything one day at a time. I am also getting to know local members who help with my growth.
