Hi I'm Katie Myler

Living the mission life here in Texas

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in the great Texas McAllen mission and loving every minute of it! The awesome people that you meet and the lessons that you learn are like no other experience! I love playing basketball, writing and playing the trumpet. If you are lucky, you might find me beat-boxing on the street (:

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed me in my life and my family more than anything in the world. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His restored church on the earth today and this knowledge has eternal significance. I know that it is through His teachings and Plan for each of us that we have true happiness and peace in this life and have eternal families beyond our life here on earth. I find great peace in the fact that our Savior has suffered all things and can help us through everything if we put our trust in Him. The Atonement and Gospel of Jesus Christ allow us to stretch far beyond what we thought we could be and reach our full potential, that which our Heavenly Father knows we can become.

How I live my faith

Serving a mission is AWESOME. Shoot, you get the chance each and every day to share the Gospel with others and represent Jesus Christ. However, we are all "examples of the believers" in what we think, say and do. We can invite others to come unto Christ by our examples, by the way we live and the way we act when others are around, but more importantly what we do when no one is looking. As we strengthen our faith and decide who we really want to be, we will be able to be that light to others that they need; the light that gives them the desire to "glorify your Father which is in Heaven."

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Katie Myler
Mormons serve everyone! We are all children of a Heavenly Father and we have a responsibility to take care of those within our sphere on influence. We often search for those opportunities to serve our fellow men. Show more Show less
