Hi I'm Jacob Anderson

I grew up in Utah. I am a ballroom dancer. I am also a Mormon.

About Me

I am a ballroom dancer. I also do other forms of dance, but ballroom is my passion. I got into the dance world when I was in high school, and will continue with it throughout my life. I also enjoy playing video games, reading fantasy novels, and watching crime shows. But those are just the things I enjoy doing when its freezing cold outside, (or blazing hot)! I enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, football (american), and generally anything outside. I'm currently serving a mission in Richmond, Virginia .

Why I am a Mormon

I'm all about honesty, and honestly, there was a time in my life when I didn't think I wanted to be a Mormon. I was struggling personally with trying to figure out life, and I was beginning to distance myself from the Church, and from my family. It was when I was a freshmen, and I was starting into seminary, that I realized that I wanted to be a Mormon. It was in seminary were I found peace and my life didn't seem so hard anymore. I made true friends, and I was so much happier. What really stood out to me that year was just how much happier I was, and how much easier it was to stay happy when I had the Gospel of Christ in my life.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday, and help prepare and bless the Sacrament. Home teaching, which is going to members houses and teaching them, and making sure they are okay, is another thing that I try to do to become more Christlike.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Jacob Anderson
Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of the world. We believe that He has always called prophets, such as Noah, Abraham, and Moses, and that through them, He teaches His Gospel to the world. As people accept and follow His prophets, the people are blessed, as they reject the prophets, they reject Him. He even came to earth to teach his Gospel. As we read in the Bible (which we believe to be the word of God), even He was rejected. The world fell away from the truth. However, because of His love for us, through the Prophet Joseph Smith, He restored his Gospel, and all the blessings that come with it. Show more Show less
