Hi I'm Steven Robertson

I am a lover of baseball. I am an insurance agent. I am a Boy Scout. I am a dad. I am a child of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of five; 4 boys and 1 beautiful little girl. I am blessed to have my wife by my side. She is a strength and a great partner. I was raised in CA and have lived in CA, FL and MO. I love to travel; my favorite place I have been is Tahiti. I LOVE BASEBALL. In fact, all but one of my kids has a name that references baseball and I have seen a home game for all 30 MLB teams. I have always wanted to own my own business and I now own my own insurance agency. I was blessed with "goodly" parents who taught me the gospel by word and by action. I love to be with my family & friends. They build me and inspire me to be the best that I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I truly believe within my heart that there is a loving Heavenly Father watching over us. Just as I love my children and want the best for them, so does He. The Plan of Happiness taught in the Bible and Book of Mormon makes sense to me. I have spent time on my knees studying & pondering these words and have had a spiritual confirmation that they are true. I believe in the importance of a prophet; both in ancient times and today. I know that that man is Thomas S Monson. There has been few times where I have felt this more than when I was teaching people of this great plan in Florida as a missionary. I love those that I served and was happy to see them hear and accept this great message.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in everything I do. I am honest in my work with my employees and clients. I work hard to honor my family name and my heavenly heritage. I am privileged to work with the Boy Scouts (ages 11-13) here in my local area. I appreciate what the scouting program aims to do with these young men. If I can have even a small part in their maturation towards being good, honorable husbands, fathers and citizens, then I will be fulfilled. I am so grateful for this stewardship. I have learned over my lifetime that I am happiest when I am serving others; family, scouts, friends, etc... This has been taught to me by many influential people in my life; most importantly, my mother. To me, family trumps all. I am honored to be a husband and father. There is no greater "calling" in life. That my Father in Heaven has entrusted in me these beautiful spirits is humbling. I don't believe a man can show greater love for his God than to treat his wife and children with respect and honor. They are my greatest blessing.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

I agree 100% with the official declaration of the church. It is a team effort based in love and commitment of both. Show more Show less
