Hi I'm Katy

I was raised in Texas. I find the most joy in making people happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time student at Brigham Young University. I love the outdoors and anything spontaneous and adventurous. I rock climb and ski, and love to play pick-up games of volleyball and snow football. I am a major book worm, and enjoy learning. I love cereal, peanut butter toast, and campfires.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but that doesn't mean that I didn't need to be converted. I prayed. I studied. I prayed more. And I am still receiving an answer to that prayer, of whether or not this church is true; that answer is yes. I can't find anything else in the world that brings me more joy. And if the church makes me happy, and God wants me happy, then they must go together. I strive to find joy in the journey of life, and this Gospel makes that possible. Through it, I developed confidence in myself and my abilities. I discovered that I was a daughter of a true and living Heavenly Father. I realized the importance of family and love. The Gospel improves my life on a daily basis, how could I not love it?

How I live my faith

I am a gospel doctrine teacher, so I teach sunday school to adults. I feel like I learn more than my class does on the daily; they teach me so much. I read my scriptures every day, even if only for a few minutes, because they help me feel closer to Christ. I think service is one of the best ways to live my faith; Christ lived His entire life in the service of others! Each day is a step towards the day I meet my maker, I'm trying to be ready.
