Hi I'm Mary

I'm an ocean lover. I'm a volleyball and tennis player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Every since I was little I was involved in school sports! Basketball and T-ball didn't really stick, but I've never parted with volleyball and tennis. I love playing the piano and singing. And I love reading! I spent the last year attending BYU-Hawaii! I was so blessed to live right by the ocean and to learn about so many different cultures. My weakness is for mint and chocolate! I come from a family of 8 kids.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the church, my parents let me choose for myself whether or not I wanted to be a member. When I got a little bit older, I really wanted to know the truth for myself. I read the Book of Mormon and began praying about it more I felt very calm and warm when I asked Heavenly Father if it was true. This was the Spirit testifying to me about the truthfulness of the gospel. I know that Heavenly Father loves us each so much and will answer our prayers. I know that through the Prophet, Joseph Smith, that the church was restored to the Earth. I know that Jesus Christ payed the price for each of our sins and knows the pain and trials that we go through. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet and he speaks for God. I know that if we live righteously, we will be able to return to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I also know that our families have the potential to be together forever. This is the true church and it is magnificent.

How I live my faith

I have attended church since birth. I went to activities with other young women and men on Tuesday nights which was always a lot of fun. I always had chances to serve my fellow young women through several callings such as class president. Since I've been in college, my roommate and I have beaven a part of visiting teaching. Visiting with other girls was a lot of fun and gave us a chance to share a spiritual message with them.
