Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Chemistry student, from Kentucky. I love to read, and am so thankful for my friends and family in my life.

About Me

Hey! My name is Emily and I am a Chemistry student, currently in my Junior year. I love to read and learn, and spend time with my family and friends. I am enjoying my first year of marriage to a wonderful man, as well as my first year in the Church. I'm a recent convert, and just in this last year the Lord has blessed me so much, and I can't wait to see what He has in store for me and my new family in the years to come.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the LDS Church, and I am a member because I believe that it is true, and have a testimony to it's validity. I spent most of my life without a real faith of my own, or a testimony of God and Jesus Christ. But through prayer, and scripture and experience, God has shown me what I need to believe in, and given to me, through repentance and baptism, a faith that I can center my life and family around. I have felt so much love and been presented with so many opportunities to serve and live my faith since I joined the Church, and hope to continue to stand in His light in the furture.

How I live my faith

Currently, I serve a calling in the Church as an Assistant Activity Days Director, and I love it! In my ward, this is an activity for girls ages 8 to 11, who are not yet old enough to join in the Young Womens group. It is such a blessing to be able to help them and teach them, and the girls are one crazy, wild blast! And being a recent convert, a lot of the things that are taught to the girls, I havn't seen either. They are always very shocked by what they have termed "Emily Questions", which are questions about things everyone, in their opinion, growing up in the Church should know. :-) So we have a great time learning about God and the Church together. I am so blessed by this calling, and the opportunity I have to teach and learn from such awesome little girls.
