Hi I'm Nicole Carson

I'm an LDS member. I grew up in the Portland Oregon area. I'm a baker and it is very Nice to meet you :)

About Me

I am 20 years old, enjoy writing short stories, reading, painting, anything crafty, and baking. I graduated culinary school, and plan to get a business degree so i can own a cafe bakery someday. I have my own dog her name is Harley she is a wolf hybrid, it took me 18 years to convince my dad to let me get my own puppy. I am in love with anything Disney, Cinderella is my favorite princess, Pumba is one of my top favorite characters, and I love Phineas and Ferb. I love spending time with family and friends and going on adventures. I love meeting new people and my favorite animal is a cow.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church with very strong parents who taught us from a young age. So ever since I was little I knew this church was true, I had my moments growing up and not wanting to go to church and having my doubts, but turning to the scriptures and praying I was always reminded why I am a part of this wonderful church and why I believe in the gospel. My testimony strengthens daily the more I pray, read, and live a virtuous righteous life. I have never wanted to go on a mission, then one day I was reading a letter and it clicked in my mind I should go on a mission, and now I'm serving in the Singapore Mission. This gospel has blessed me and I know it to be true. So why not be a part of this great church.

How I live my faith

I have been a member my whole life, growing up in the church I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in activity days as a young girl, and then the young women program. I had the privilege in serving in the presidency of each of the age groups, i have been president in each at one point in time. I have also been giving the opportunity to serve as the music conductor in one of the classes, which has been a blessing on teaching me to lead music. I participate in my ward activities when I have the chance to, and every now and then return to my family ward to teach the young women a few tricks with cake decorating. I am also a proud visiting teacher in my ward and get the chance to visit teach lovely ladies. Now I have the opportunity to serve a full time mission in Singapore.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Nicole Carson
The temple really isn't that secretive, its just sacred. There is a booklet the LDS Church produced titles "Preparing to Enter The Holy Temple" which answers many questions about the temple. We do lots of different things in the temple, all include promises and blessings, but a big one is getting sealed (married), and endowments. Show more Show less
