Hi I'm Lexi Hansen

I am serving a mission in the Des Moines, Iowa Mission. I love sharing this joy with others!

About Me

I love being a member of this church. It has blessed my life more than anything. Some of my favorite things to do are to go longboarding, play tennis, rock climbing, and anything that will get my blood running. I am currently a full time student at BYU. A tragic accident happened on Feb. 26, 2014 that changed my life and has strengthened my knowledge that God loves each of us! I was longboarding to campus and a car hit me. The doctors gave me a 0% chance to live and said I was as alive as the chair right next to me. They knew I would not survive the night and had called the organ donors to donate my organs. From hearing this my family had outstanding faith and turned to God through prayers and fasting. My dad and brothers gave me priesthood blessings. The next day my percentage started going up. On Sunday, fast Sunday, I woke up from my coma. The doctors said that I should not be alive, that this is certainly a miracle. I have to keep relearning the talents I once had, and still have pain in my head, but it's the least of what I should have. I got my mission call exactly 6 months after my accident, and I am now serving in Des Moines, Iowa. I love telling people of how much God loves them and how His church has been brought back on earth. He cares about you and everything you do in life. Just have the faith that He will help you and He will.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS religion, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I had a stalwart mother who taught me all I know and kept our standards high. From her I have learned to love the scriptures, which then in turn have helped me to gain a deep love and appreciation for this gospel. I love going to church, and feeling the strong spirit that is always felt there. This gospel brings so much happiness and comfort that I could never imagine my life without it. It has blessed my life in so many ways. I praise our Lord and His goodness to me and all of us. There is no reason we shouldn't be happy in this life with all the blessings He gives us. This gospel helps me to see those blessings. I love my Savior. I know He lives and loves us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by bearing my testimony frequently, keeping my standards, and visiting the sisters in my ward. I attend my church meetings, and give support to those that need it.
