Hi I'm Nathan

I'm an actor, aspiring theologian, and hopeless romantic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Washington State where it rains a lot. Despite that fact, I hold to the truth that it is the most beautiful state there is! I have a wide variety of hobbies and interests: I like to act, sing, and dance. I have performed in community theater shows such as Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Camelot, and Beauty and the Beast. I love watching musicals and Disney movies. I enjoy some less-common sports like fencing and Ultimate Frisbee. I play video games, hang out with my friends, and just enjoy life. I am currently a Junior at Brigham Young University but have not yet decided on a major.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly, I have been in the church all my life; born and raised into this faith. But that doesn't mean I haven't made the decision to be a Mormon for myself. As I grew older, I had chances from friends to learn about other faiths and beliefs. With much study and prayer, mistakes and right choices, I have come to the conclusion on my own that this is God's one, true gospel and he wants everyone to have it. I know that this is the same gospel that Christ taught when he was on the earth, restored and brought back to mankind by Him, through His prophets on the earth today. This gospel makes perfect sense. Everything we need to know has been explained by the Lord and he wants us to have that knowledge. Through study and prayer, anyone can come to know, by the Spirit of the Lord, that all of this is true.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two year mission in Houston Texas. I spend all day every day looking for people who want to know about God. I spread the message of His gospel and try to bring more happiness and joy into people's lives through Jesus Christ. I spend time doing service for anyone who needs it. I also help the members of the church in this area to increase their faith and feel God's love.

What do Mormons believe about family?

The family is the most important social unit that has ever been and will ever be. Inside the family is where people can learn and grow into the people that God wants them to be. Families can support each other and provide love and care as we progress through life. With our family, we can bring ourselves closer to God throughout this life. And after we pass on, the Lord has told us that we can still be with our families for the rest of eternity. We don't have to let them go. If we accept the Atonement of Jesus Christ and live our lives in harmony with His teachings, we can bring our families to the holy temple of God and be sealed together as a family, never to be separated.
