Hi I'm Kelly

I was raised in a military family and moved around a lot growing up. I now live with my wife in Hawaii. We are Mormons.

About Me

I am a secretary for an Entrepreneurship Center. I love entrepreneurs. I also spend a lot of time working on my website, mormonbasics.com. It is how I help the members of my church. I have five children and 12 grandchildren. We are hoping more will be coming. We also have a Ukranian son-in-law and an Indonesian daughter-in-law. Those are the perks of living in a multi-cultural environment like BYU-Hawaii.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Mormon (LDS) Church since I was eight years old. I have not found anything in life that makes me happier and more content or more driven to do good than this church. The people are just people, complete with all the flaws I have, but we learn to look past the obvious and look for what makes each of us precious in the eyes of the Lord. We are all children of God, and as such, we try to treat each other with kindness and respect. I just love this Church!

How I live my faith

I teach two classes at church, one for new members and one for the older men in our congregation. I play the piano for choir and used to play the organ for our main church meeting. I have taught in the church since I was in my early twenties, and enjoy talking about the gospel of Christ. I love to serve others, whether participating in a roofing project or cleaning someone's lawn, or just visiting their family.
