Hi I'm Heather

I am a mom of 4 girls. I am a college student. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mom, and then non-average college student. I like to read, cook, sew, quilt, and other crafts. My girls keep me busy with their sports, school activities, and 4-H.

Why I am a Mormon

I married a Mormon, and his family is the kindest, most honest group of people I have ever met. Through them I found a desire to join their church. My husband wanted me to wait until I wanted to join for more than just the people, which is what was common in finding a church home when I was a kid. It didn't take very long before that happened. There was so much that His church brought to me in ways of understanding about Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. It was like a cup with just a little water at the bottom was suddenly filling. I choose to stay in His church, because I believe it is true. I believe the scriptures (all of them) are the word of God. I believe that if I want to live with Heavenly Father again, I need to DO all that I can, and be surrounded with the people and opportunities to do so.

How I live my faith

I get to work with the amazing teenage girls in our ward. Together they show me each day, how they see the world, and what is important to them. In return I get to help them along their journey. Over the last few years my family has welcomed a few foreign exchange students into our home. While we can't treat it like a missionary experience, those sweet girls have added to the love in our family and in turn enjoyed feeling a part of our family.
