Hi I'm Natalie Dimond

I love going on adventures. Dancing is the perfect stress release. I have four brothers. I love learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have studied at Brigham Young University-Idaho for three semesters in hopes to become a physician's assistant one day. I grew up moving around the United States as my Fathers job took us from Utah to Oregon to Minnesota to Colorado and back to Minnesota. I love going on adventures especially those in nature. I think in nature we can learn a lot about ourselves, how we can become better, how we can live more simple yet beautifully. I believe science and religion can coexist naturally. I love science and have even participated in research regarding fertility. I have found that as I learn more about Science my testimony of God increases. I love eating healthy and exercising. Dancing is my favorite form of art and movement. Dancing has helped me through many difficult trials in my life. Music has always been apart of me since I was young. In fact, I play the piano and also play a little guitar. I love traveling, I have yet to travel to Africa, Australia, Antarctica, Russia, India, Peru, etc. Hawaii is my favorite vacation place filled with many memories of family vacations. I am an amateur photographer but I enjoy taking pictures! Pictures can truly capture some of the best memories that can help relive the past. I have four brothers who keep me on my toes. Serving others is one of my favorite things to do, in fact without service I feel without purpose. I will soon be leaving on a mission to the England London South Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the commandments of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints makes me happy. That might seem too simply stated but I believe the whole purpose of this life is to learn how to be happy and be filled with the most joy. In the world, everyone is looking for a way to find happiness. We can see this through the forms of instant gratification that people consume. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness to my life no matter what situation; in the best of days and in my hardest days it brings me the joy to make it through my days. I am a Mormon because I believe in the atonement of Jesus Christ. His atonement has blessed my life in so many ways, I have felt it heal even the deepest wounds of hurt within me. I am a Mormon because I have prayed to God and know without a doubt this Church is true. I am a Mormon because I have seen how this Church blesses so many lives.

How I live my faith

I believe that faith and action are intertwined and cannot be untangled. If we believe in Christ then we definitely would have desire and action to follow Him. In the near future I will be serving as a full-time missionary for the Church. As a missionary, I will be so very privileged to receive the opportunity to serve others. As well, I can share with them the message of the gospel, which can bring true joy into their lives. I cannot wait most to wake up each day with the sole purpose of teaching people that they are worth so much, that they have divine potential, and that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them so much they cannot even comprehend it!

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Natalie Dimond
The Holy Ghost is the greatest tool we have here in this earth. In other Christian faiths, there is a common belief in a trinity that God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are together in one. As a Mormon, we believe that God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are three distinct beings; they may be one in purpose but they are separate people. Unlike God and Jesus, the Holy Ghost does not have a body of flesh and bones, he has a spirit so he can dwell within us. There would be no other way He could speak to both our minds and hearts. The Holy Ghost is like a good friend. He warns us of danger. He gives us the comfort we need in any moment. He provides us with knowledge that cannot be obtained in any other way. He testifies of truth especially relating to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. He doesn't reside with us if we participate or are in unholy places. He nudges us to repent when we make mistakes and falter. I think the most important thing to learn about the Holy Ghost is how he speaks to each and everyone of us personally and individually. Sometimes this may be a thought, a feeling, a passage in scriptures, or through a friend. Most times though, he speaks in a still small voice, to me these are warm feelings in my bosom which warm me telling me I'm ok, or that the gospel is true. The Holy Ghost gives us the opportunity to feel Jesus' presence reside within us even while He is not here on this earth. As well it enables us to progress, through those small whisperings.
