Hi I'm Tyler Hobbs

I grew up in Missouri. I'm currently a missionary in Colorado. I'm a runner. I love to sing. I love to cook. I love to be outside.

About Me

I'm currently serving a mission in The Colorado Denver south mission, while at home I would run, fish, hunt, play basketball, sing (a lot), and hike. I have two siblings. I love music especially acapella. I love to cook. I love to spend time with my family, They are the most important thing in my life. I am constantly active I don't like top sit around and do nothing, except on occasions. I grew up with my father teaching my to work hard and respect people. I dedicate myself to things that I want to achieve. I am 6' 10" tall. I try to help people in every way I can. I don't like to see others struggle. I struggle at times to talk to new people that is probably my biggest fear, I work on overcoming that every day and with the help of my savior I will eventually be made strong as is promised in Ether 12:27.

Why I am a Mormon

It all started with my moms family mainly my grandpa. My siblings and I would go over to his house because he had a pool we would go on Saturday and stay the night at his house so we could go swimming the next day but only after church we went to class with our cousins so we had fun and wanted to keep coming. One day we asked our parents why we never went to church as a family. So the next week we went to church as a family in the ward that we were in our parents intended to stay for sacrament then leave but a girl ran up to my sister grabbed her arm saying "you look about my age" and drug her of to class. So we stayed and we have gone ever sense. I know for my self this church is true.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary. I give all I have to the lord for two years. I teach and help people and show them love to invite them unto Christ. Besides that I love to live by example. I love to show kindness, that is after all the way that Our savior Jesus Christ lived his life, loving and serving others. I love to go to the temple I study my scriptures every day, Through prayer I know they are the word of God.

What is being a Mormon like?

Tyler Hobbs
Being Mormon is a wonderful thing. We are able to learn more about the plan our Father in Heaven has for us, His children. The gospel I found in this church has given direction to my life. It has brought me peace. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Tyler Hobbs
The Atonement of Jesus Christ was necessary because without it We would all be unable to Return to live with our Heavenly Father. We all make mistakes, even one little mistake and we would be unclean, but with The Atonement of Jesus Christ we can be made clean again. Show more Show less

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tyler Hobbs
The tithing that members pay is not used to pay the leaders of the church. It is used to build the Church building (Temples, Chapels, Ect.), support missionaries as they help others to find faith in Jesus Christ, support the activities of the church, an education system, and supporting the churches free family history site FamilySearch.org. Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Tyler Hobbs
We believe that the bible is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. We believe that it testifies of our Savior Jesus Christ, relays his message to us in these days and gives us guidance in our lives. We hold the Bible to be the word of God and the first of his scripture to be revealed to men, The Book of Mormon and all teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints testify of the same message that Jesus is the Christ, That he established his gospel and that as we do the things he has asked us to do, we may return to live with him. Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Tyler Hobbs
I know that Jesus Christ came to the Americas. This story is shared in the Book of Mormon, in 3 Nephi beginning in chapter 11. Search for the truth of it for yourself. You can know of its truth by the feelings you have as you read it. Galatians 5:22 states the feelings you will receive if it is true. Show more Show less
