Hi I'm Courtney

I'm an Idaho girl. I adore my friends and family. I love food. Laughter is an essential part of my day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a sophomore in college, and I am striving to get a Master's Degree in Social Work. I want to spend my life helping people that can't help themselves. I love reading, playing games, and trying everything at least once. I try to spend as much time as I can around people that I love, so we can make each other feel loved and happy. I love the smell of rain and the sound of a vacuum cleaning unseen dirt. I am the third of six children (two girls, four boys). I have spent time as a life-size doll and a wild Pokemon trying to evade capture. I think that Halloween costumes should be unexpected and unique, so I have gone as a mailbox, bag of jelly beans, pyramid, Done (stick a fork in me I'm done), and gum on the bottom of a shoe. I love to laugh and cannot always control myself, so I am known for my random laughing fits that can last for long periods of time. I love the Gospel and the peace it brings to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel. I love the teachings. I love the people. I love the feeling. I love the inclusion. I love the sense of belonging. I love the understanding. I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Chris, my Heavenly Father, and the Holy Ghost. I love that families can be together for eternity and that I can in turn be sealed to a spouse and my future children for eternity. I know that the teachings of the Atonement and Resurrection are true. I know that Joseph Smith spent his life suffering and working hard to bring the gospel to millions of people on the earth today, and that anything worth fighting that hard for must be worth it. I am amazed by the modern day revelations that are given during General Conference and how relevant they are to my life and the lives of the people that I love. I continue to learn and grow in this Gospel because I know that it makes me a better person and gives me the opportunities I need to have the best life possible.

How I live my faith

I love my faith. I love having a place to go where I know my values will be understood and upheld. I go to church every Sunday when it is possible including the weekends when I am traveling about. I love giving talks and helping with lessons and activities. I always try to participate in the activities and functions that are organized by the church because I know how much hard work and effort has been put into them by diligent and faithful members. I work on a committee that plans activities for every Monday night. Our committee is responsible for a small spiritual thought as well as an enjoyable hour or two of fun for everyone. I love that this Gospel brings people together for more than just worship each week.
