Hi I'm Bria Nicole White

I'm missionary serving in the Czech Republic, sister and daughter. I love to sing and I'm a Mormon!:)

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Czech Republic. I am the oldest of three kids and I love hanging out with my siblings. My mom is my best friend and my Dad can always put a smile on someones face with his witty humor. My brother has even more wit than my Dad and my younger sister is a cat fanatic who has a better life plan than me. She wants to be an animator and screen writer for Disney and all I know is that I want to continue talking and listening to people. I grew up my whole life doing music. And am consequently not very good at sports . . At the age of three I started violin lessons and played in orchestras up until my senior year when I finally decided that even though I loved violin, singing was truly my passion. I sing every day and pretty much all day too! My sister teases that I turn any noise or sound into a song, and I am often times the person the isle down in the grocery store singing, quite clueless to the puzzled stares headed my way. However, ironically, I don't know the words to the majority of songs, so I make them up as I go! I am currently singing in a Collegiate Women's Chorus and love it!I am fascinated by nutrition and food is the key to my heart, spicy foods included! I am willing to try just about anything, especially foods from different cultures. I think people and cultures are fascinating and I love to meet people and learn about them and their experiences:)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me happiness. When I do the things my Heavenly Father asks of me and participate as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I feel good inside. This church also brings me comfort because I know I have Heavenly Father who loves me and will help me every way that he can. He hears my prayers and answers them in a time he knows will be best for me. I have seen the gospel change lives for the better:) It's standards and guidelines have also helped me to live my life to my fullest. I have never worried about what my purpose is here in this life, nor where to turn to find happiness because I know that through my Savior I never have to be alone or sad. When I lost my closest relatives, the gospel brought so much comfort because I know I will see them again and that death is not the end of life. I was blessed to grow up in the gospel and I know there couldn't be a better way to live my life:)

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving and loving those around me. I try my best to find opportunities to serve friends, family and roommates. I also participate in church activities by attending my weekly meetings and meeting with friends in the ward. On a daily basis I live my faith by praying to, and conversing with my Heavenly Father daily, and multiple times a day. I read his words in the scriptures and I try to obey his commandments. I also attend the temple as often as I can because that is where I find the peace and strength to keep going, especially in times of trial. However, most importantly, I live my faith by trying my best to emulate Jesus Christ and his example. I try to do this by avoiding negative and hurtful comments or gossip, looking for the good in other people, being willing and ready to help those in need, sacrificing my wants in order to help someone else, smiling and finding good in my day, and listening to people and helping to give advise. I am imperfect in all of those areas but each day I strive to do my best and continue on in faith that my Heavenly Father knows and loves me and will help me with the things I cannot do on my own.
