Hi I'm Val

I grew up in the South side of Chicago. I have four sisters and one brother. My favorite color is yellow. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing Tennis, but I have never played for a team or my school, just for fun. I am going to college to become a Veterinarian, because I love animals so much. I love to write, but especially writing stories, I've written two full books already, one called The Vayisas and Riona and the other called The Domino Affect.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon church so some may say I really had no choice BUT to grow into believing what I was being taught was true, maybe so, but eventually as I grew older I had to find out the truth of things for myself. We must all find our testimony on our own we can not depend on our parents testimonies or our grandparents testimonies all of our lives. Eventually there comes a time when we find out for ourselves what we believe to not be or be true. I found out the truth fullness of the Mormon church just by being there, by reading the Book of Mormon, by praying to find out for myself. I always received the same answer that yes this church is true and everything that is taught within it. How did I receive this answer? By the Holy Ghost, for me, I have always felt a feeling, a warm, powerful burning feeling in my heart. Just like it says in the Book of Mormon, the feeling I was experiencing was the Holy Ghost and it was testifying to me the truth fullness of all things.

How I live my faith

Right now I am a ward missionary in my church. So if the Elders or Sister missionaries ask me to come with them to visit an investigator or to pick one up for church early in the morning I would be happy to assist them in that. It is a great way to help because I am helping people come to church when they cant provide a way to bring their self. I used to help my mom in the nursery with the 18 month to 3 years old's, and that was a lot of work! But it was so much joy to be around the little ones and a big help to their parents so they could be able to go to their class.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes! The definition of a Christian is someone who believes in Christ, and Mormons definitely believe their is a Christ. Everything we teach and practice is based on what Christ commands and asks of us. We believe Christ died for our sins and that although he died on the cross that he lives today and loves us all very much. So yes, Mormons are Christians since the fullness of it has been restored and to the very end! Show more Show less
