Hi I'm Jared Allen

I grew up in a small town in New Mexico. I've been a member all of my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been assigned to work in the El Salvador Santa Ana mission. I love being in El Salvador and serving the people who live here. I am a big fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. I also am a very avid skier. I've skied since I was only 2 years old, so it is something that I am very passionate about! I love the mountains and the winter, and love to see all the beauty in what many see as the worst season.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the joy it brings into my life. I am a Mormon because it allows me to have amazing friends who share my beliefs, and it allows me to be in contact with people who only want me to succeed, and have happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith trying to bless the lives of others. As a missionary, it is my responsibility to help others come to Christ, and to help them share the happiness and the blessings that I have in my live.

What is the priesthood?

Jared Allen
We, as Mormons, have the Lord's power and authority on the Earth today. This is called the Priesthood. With it, we can perform many miracles, just as Christ performed miracles when he was on the Earth. The Priesthood also helps us to direct and lead this church. With the Priesthood, we can bless the lives of others in many different ways, such as performing ordinances, blessing those who are sick, and leading congregations. Show more Show less
