Hi I'm Lauren

I grew up in Henderson, Nevada, I'm a student at BYU, I served a mission in Argentina Rosario, & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love singing and have really enjoyed singing in choir in college. I like making crafts, sewing, knitting, baking, rollerblading, reading, writing poetry, etc. I ran track in high school so I enjoy running and also hiking/rappelling. I'm majoring in human development, planing to minor in nonprofit management and get certified in Spanish. I like making jewelry such as bracelet watches and earrings with my mom. I have three younger brothers that are awesome. I love enjoying nature--especially jumping in puddles while it's raining. I love having fun and being crazy with my friends. :)

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up in a Mormon family, I have certainly come to know that it is true for myself throughout my life. I have felt God's love for me so many times. I know that he cares about each of us and wants us to succeed and be happy. I am a Mormon because it truly makes me happy. Following the commandments and learning about how to become more like the Savior gives me joy and purpose in my life. I love that our religion is based on families and how we can be together forever. Although I have gone through trials in my life, I have realized that everything happens for a purpose and that God has placed certain things in my life for specific reasons. Because of the trials I have been through, I have grown in my faith and become a better person. I love that our church believes in Christ's atonement and that we can all be completely clean and forgiven of all of our past sins. The Book of Mormon means so much in my life and has really helped me learn more about Christ and about how to act. I am so grateful to be a Mormon because I can't imagine not having the joy and happiness that comes from living the gospel and participating in this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to keep a positive attitude and be happy. I find joy in serving others, even if it's as simple as baking someone cookies and leaving them at their door with a small note. I read the scriptures and pray daily, which helps me live my faith and be a better person. I read about Jesus Christ and try to find ways to improve so that I can become more like Him each week. I live my faith by trying to always do the right thing and by sharing my beliefs with others.
