Hi I'm Michael Talabucon

I grew up in the Philippines. I am a faculty member in a state university south of Manila. Mormon and proud.

About Me

I used to be just like an ordinary guy - secular and self-center. I thought that life is all about making the most every minutes of my life. I went backpacking in the countryside and in Indo-China thinking that adventure is all about travel without a cause. But that change when I became a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I try to live to the principles of this church - to what we believe. I am a Mormon because Christ redeemed me and that suffice it to say. I've never been convinced to be one but Mormon live what they preach and that is enough as the Word of the gospel say, "By their fruit, you will know them."

How I live my faith

I try to obey the word of wisdom, i.e., abstaining from coffee and tea among others. As the holy scripture put it, faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God, so to strengthen my faith, I go to church every Sunday as much as possible and try not to miss to partake the holy sacrament. I also participate in family dinner where I am invited and on twice-a-week scripture study with the missionaries.
