Hi I'm Natalie

I am a national champion airrifle marksman. I like to swim, hike, and dance and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student far from home. I love adventure and new experiences. Teaching and service opportunities in the special needs community brings me great joy. I have a sweet tooth and my favorite food is tacos. I am trying to learn how to cook! I am a horrible singer but love to do it, and I am competitive in sports and card games. I like to have fun and work hard!

Why I am a Mormon

My father investigated many churches while growing up. When he married my mom and started his own family, he was still speaking with many churches. One day, the Mormon missionaries visited our home and started teaching my dad all about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. Through his studies, my dad grew in his knowledge of these truths he had been searching for. Within a couple years of his baptisms, I was born as his 3rd child. When I was ten I made the decision to be baptized. At a young age I felt so strongly about the doctrine of forever families and I just knew everything I was learning in church was from God. I felt the Spirit so strongly testify this to me. In high school, I was exposed to many different faiths. I chose to explore and visit the churches of my friends of different faiths. They all had similar truths, but something was missing. I knew they lacked something, and that something was in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

My faith is more to me than something I do, it is the way I live. It is simply who I am and is a part of every aspect of my life. Prayer and scripture study are important ways that I can grow closer to my Heavenly Father and I have seen that as I do it. We believe in living a Christ-like life and that goes far beyond Sunday worship and what we do in the home. I strive to look for service opportunities on a daily bases, remember to thank God for all of my blessings, follow the commandments he has set, repent when need, and exemplify Christ with my actions. In-so-doing, I can feel the Spirit guide me. This is so important to me and has brought so much happiness in my life that I am dedicated to my faith and enjoy sharing it with others. I spent 18 months as a missionary in the Philippines, and will continue to live my faith wherever I am.
