Hi I'm Gabriel Araújo

I grew up in Fortaleza, Brazil. It's a great city with its beautiful beaches. I'm an English teacher and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I didn't grew up in the LDS Church, in fact I'm a covert. I met the missionaries when I was 16. Before becoming a mormon I attended another religious church, also Christian, the protestant. It helped me a lot, being fom another church because for me is like if I was being prepared to the great and marvelous Kingdom of God. I served as a missionarie in Rio de Janeiro and now, I'm 22, I'm serving with so much love in my location. I have, firm in my heart, a testimony of that work, work of salvation. There's nothing better than have the knowledge of the true and be continually nourished with the good work. I know the blessings of God are for those who let his own cross and start to follow Him. I love Him, Jesus Christ the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm so happy for being a mormon active member. Knowing the missionaries that day was the most incredible thing that have ever happened to me. I have always learned about Jesus and how great He was, but it isn't sufficient and I even didn't know. After a year in the LDS church I realized that I had learned so much more in a year than in all years before. I am so happy because of that and I also realized that a had made the right choice when I decided to be baptized. I know God loves us. Proof of this is because He gave us His only Begotten Son to be killed, to die in our favor, sinners. I feel myself close to Him by keeping His commandments and trying to be like Him. I have no doubts about these truths. He lives! He lives!

How I live my faith

I currently serve with the group of men that are located in my ward. In this group we learn how to become good men, good children, good husbands and good fathers. We also have a variety of activities in the community like paint old schools, providing supplies to the hospitals, events to introduce the church and help them know it.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Gabriel Araújo
As we read in the scriptures God established a pattern to His church. In the beginning Peter, James and John were the general leaders of the Christ's church before His death. Today, Thomas S. Moson is the presidente and prophet of the curch and he is supported by two other men: Henry B. Eyring and Dieter F. Uchtdorf and they are the general leaders in our days. We can trust on them, look for them and we must support them. I know God calls simple man to take care of His work here on earth. I know He continues to be like in the past, He doesn't change.
