Hi I'm Nate

Older brother, Eagle Scout, musician, student, missionary; I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music and I play the piano and guitar. I have seven siblings and couldn't live without them. I own my own lawn care business and it keeps me busy and I love it. I am a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis and their works. One of my favorite things to do in my free time is to throw a ball with my dog. I am a student at Utah State University but I have set aside two years to serve a mission in Dallas Texas speaking Spanish for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is the one truly restored church of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I know that by being a part of this church can help me get closer to Him. I love the goodness of Mormonism and how much good it does in the world, for both its members and nonmembers. I am a Mormon because it is good and true and bring blessings to my life.

How I live my faith

I am an Eagle Scout. I did my Eagle Project for my ward by putting instructions on gas meters on how to turn off the gas in an emergency. I am a home teacher for many families whom I love and serve. I try to do my best to be a good person and to care for others. I love spending time with my family and they mean the world to me and I try to treat them as the most important people in my life. I love meeting new people and learning all about them. I am now on a mission spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in Dallas Texas.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is being happy and having joy. Now, of course not all parts of life are happy and joyful, there are many times of sorrow, sadness, despair, and loss. But with the gospel Mormons understand that ultimately our purpose on Earth is to have joy and that we can have joy in hard situations because in the end we will be able to live with God and our families for all of eternity. By following God's commandments we will be blessed by Him and have more joy, whether in this life or the life to come. Through Jesus Christ and His Atonement and Heavenly Father's great Plan of Salvation, we can be together with our families forever and forever more have joy. Show more Show less
