Hi I'm Rebecca Sundstrom

I am from San Jose, California. I love school, Tae Kwon Do, and serving my Heavenly Father. I am Mormon.

About Me

I am nineteen years old, and currently a Junior at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. I'm one of those that loves school and even most homework, and I also enjoy music and being around those I love. My favorite books are Science Fiction and Fantasy, as well as, of course, the Standard Works!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because of the beautiful joy and peace that comes with living the Gospel, and the knowledge I have of its truth. I have learned from my family, friends and church leaders, and from the Holy Ghost, who has confirmed to me the truth in their teachings and teachings in the scriptures. As I have learned, studied, and prayed, I have come to know for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church in this earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ, a record written by the peoples who inhabited the American Continent during scriptural times, and translated by Joseph Smith through the power of God. I know that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Even as He spoke to His children through prophets and revelation in Biblical times, He speaks to us today through His living prophet Thomas S. Monson. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and the Savior of each of God's children. He suffered through The Atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the Cross for me. His Atonement is not only infinite in redeeming power, but also infinitely personal for every child of God. In Gethsemane, Christ went through everything any of us would ever experience in this Earthly life, for each and every one of us; for me and for you. Christ knows how I feel sadness, how I feel pain. He knows my stress, my anxiety, my fear, my exhaustion. He knows how I experience disappointment, and regret. Christ Knows how I feel joy, how I feel peace. He knows my excitement, my wonder. He knows how I experience relief and love. He knows how I feel each of these things, and He knows how you feel each of these things. Because He knows and understands us individually, He can lead and teach us personally, exactly how we need to be. His Atonement is infinite and all-encompassing - there is no mistake we can make that we cannot be redeemed from. We can always return to out Heavenly Father through Christ. Always.

How I live my faith

I do my best to show kindness to everyone around me. I also attend my church meetings, take the Sacrament, and keep my Covenants with the Lord. I have recently received a mission call to the Boise, Idaho Mission and will be serving there for eighteen months.
