Hi I'm Melinda

I was born in California on an Army base and have lived in six states. I teach junior high. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have three children and four young grandchildren. I teach English and history at the junior high school level. I love to read, hike, watch good movies, and write letters.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised I the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I gained my own testimony around 12 years old. My family was not active in the church at the time and I started going to church. It felt good to be there, so I kept going. Over time I grew to know that church was where I belonged each Sunday. The feelings I get when I go to church, read the scriptures and pray tell me that's where and what I should be doing.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying morning and night and at each meal. I read my scriptures in the morning when it's quiet. I serve the children of our church ages 18 months to 11 years. They truly teach me more than I teach them. I attend church weekly, even when out of town. I love going to church.
