Hi I'm Kalie Watson

I grew up in Utah. I am just your average, ordinary girl. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi. I was born in Ogden Utah to two wonderful parents. I have grown to love the beautiful Utah mountains and red rock plains. As much as I try to have an active lifestyle, it actually proves to be quite challenging for me. I was the type of child who picked dandelions during her little league soccer game and twisted her ankle during ballet practice. Despite my Mom's greatest efforts to find my niche, I proved to be a fragile child and accident-prone. I have gone through multiple injuries through out my life and recent surgeries. But through it all, I find the only thing in my life that keeps me stable is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

As stated above, I grew up in this Church. I never really doubted that it wasn't true. But once I reached a more independent age, I still had a lot of unanswered questions. As I continued to ponder these questions and whether or not some things in the church were true, I (just as Joseph Smith) knelt down on my knees and asked my Father in Heaven if it was true. My answer came as I continued to pray, search the Book of Mormon for my answers, and live the gospel accordingly. It IS true! And there is no reason that it shouldn't be! I believe that this church holds the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been able to learn and grow in ways that I never thought possible because of this church. I still to this day have questions, but that is what is so wonderful about this church! We can Always pray to our Father in Heaven, search the scriptures, and seek help through other members for answers to our questions. And it is a never ending journey of learning and finding out more and more for ourselves.

How I live my faith

Well, I have grown up loving to learn more and more about this gospel. Most of all, I have learned to love the Book of Mormon. It has become a key to happiness and much more in my life. I believe The Book of Mormon to be another testament of Jesus Christ and the true word of God. Reading it each day, brings me the peace and joy that this Gospel of Jesus Christ provides. I am also about to embark on an 18 month mission. Where I will dedicate those full 18 months to serving my Father and Heaven and invite others to learn more of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I will be leaving my family for those 18 months as well, leaving behind any ways of communicating with them (besides a weekly e-mail), as well as postponing my education.
