Hi I'm Erin Hodson

I grew up in the Midwest. I am getting my master's in Public Health. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love adventure stories and movies. I will listen to any music but country and Christmas music outside of Christmas time. Video games are my favorite way to kill a few extra hours. I love Ultimate Frisbee! Anytime, day or night, I will join in on the game. I hate running just for running, but I probably run a good 4 miles in a heartbeat when I play Frisbee. Shy isn't the right word, I guess I just don't have a lot to say, which makes me seem shy.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, meaning that my parents took me to the Mormon church ever since I was born. I didn't really become converted until late high school years. But it wasn't like one day I woke up and realized that I believed, it was very slow going. It wasn't until I was at college and looked back on my life and said "Yeah, I do have a testimony." My faith is still growing all the time. I have peace and happiness in this lifetime where some of my peers and colleagues are still waiting for that. I know that this life isn't something to be endured, but is something to be enjoyed and lived to the fullest. I know that happiness comes from Christ and our Heavenly Father, and living the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am a full time congregation member. I currently don't have a calling and so I just participate how I can. I go to institute and try to attend Family Home Evening on Mondays, but I have class on Mondays so that doesn't really work out. Other people notice me living the gospel because they tell me I always seem happy and that I don't swear. They also notice that I don't drink coffee or drink, which people seem genuinely surprised that someone would live like that.
