Hi I'm Bonz

I'm an LDS member widely known as Mormons. I'm from the Philippines and been a member for 13 years.

About Me

I'm a lil bit athletic person. I love to play volleyball, badminton and table tennis. When I was in high school I would always join softball team but that was long ago but still I would love to play it again. I love to go hiking. I love watching basketball. I am a fan of NBA specifically Miami heat and PBA ( Philippine Basketball Association). It's one thing that me and my brother love to watch together. Well, I love to eat and cook too. I love chicken/pork adobo. It's a filipino dish that I usually cook for foreign visitors. You guys have to taste it. I'm a Computer Science graduate. I've worked as an instructor for about 4 years. I stand 5'2", yeah, really cute! Got long black hair. I wanna cut it short but my mom loves it so much that she won't allow me to do so. haha! My friends characterized me as a jolly person. I love to laugh no doubt coz I'm surrounded by happy people too. Yes, I'm a Mormon and love being one. Well, what else would you like to know?

Why I am a Mormon

Real happiness come from obeying God's commandments. In this life's journey, you'll get through lots of refinement for you to become a better one. And my membership in this church made me even better. It helps me realized how much God loves me for I am His child. I never knew where I really came from, why I am here and where will I go until the restored gospel is introduced to us. Being a member of this church is really hard for there are a lot of persecutions, temptations and many other forms of afflictions but I know that it is far harder being not a member of this church. My family could have not been this happier and united if it were not because of this church, if we don't have the gospel in our life. I am not perfect, my family too. We had misunderstandings always but the gospel of Jesus Christ gives us peace in our home. It helped us become better persons. It's one reason why I want to share the gospel to other families for I want them to be happier in this life and be well prepared to meet God someday. It breaks my heart to see people don't believe in God. I love my Father in Heaven. He loves me so much. He lives and is mindful of me always. I love Him too. I'll do my best to follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I was baptized together with my family on December 29, 2000. I was 11 back then. I was so shy during my few years in the church and you won't see me talking or laughing. That is why most of the members in our branch got amazed to see me transformed from a very shy girl to a very gleeful one. Having the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in my life made me happier and more courageous to meet new faces. It had blessed me and my family so much. It gave me an assurance that one day if I live my covenants that I made with God when I was baptized faithfully, I would then again see my father. He passed away when I was 15 years old. I am the youngest in the family and greatly spoiled by my father before. I had a hard time accepting that he's gone but I came to realize the plan of salvation. That if we as family would live faithfully and would endure to the end we'll be together again someday even after this life. What a great blessing of the restored gospel. At present, I'm serving as President in the Young Women organization in our branch. I was greatly blessed with patient and loving teachers when I was still a youth and I am now applying what I've learned from them. Being with them, being able to teach these youth is a great satisfaction in life. Being able to mold them to a person that God would love them to be is really a great pleasure. Well, sometimes you just have to be real patient to them. Everyday I encounter problems but I always tell to my self that I can do it for God is with me. If you have faith, nothing is impossible.
