Hi I'm Jace

I am from Southern California, I am a football fanatic, I attend Brigham Young University, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up in Southern California I love spending time outside, going to the beach, hiking, and camping. I moved to Provo after I graduated high school and spent more time outside in the beautiful outdoors of Utah Valley. I am currently serving a Spanish speaking mission Iowa.

Why I am a Mormon

The more time I spend serving the Lord the more I am able to see and feel the incredible blessings that come from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Before I served a mission I had a testimony. I knew of the importance of things but did not see how the Gospel was applicable in my life. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is able to bring a peace and a happiness to our lives that nothing else can. During my time as a missionary I have seen families struggle, those with and without the Gospel. I have been able to see how much the Gospel is able to bless those families. It has made me appreciate my immediate family as well as my cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents. When we have the knowledge that our families are eternal we are able to feel of the purpose of this life. I am a Mormon because of the relationship I have with my Father in Heaven, which is all made possible through the suffering of His son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

The Gospel has always been very important to me. I grew up in the church with wonderful parents who taught me and my brother and my sister about the importance of Temple Marriage, reading from the Book of Mormon, the importance of keeping the Sabbath Day Holy and many other things. From a young age I had a testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith. I knew that this was the true church. Growing up I never had a desire to serve a mission. I knew that missions were good but I didn't think that was what I needed to to. Over the summer of 2014 a mission had often entered my mind but I didn't want to change my plan. My best friend at the time was called to serve a mission. It was in one of her emails to me when I knew that I could serve a mission. In October of 2014 I went to General Conference with this question in mind. I wasn't 100% sure of what I needed to do but knew I needed to go. I currently live my faith by being a full-time missionary to the Lord. I have been able to see the immense blessings we receive when we are to the faith. I now am able to see the importance of the Gospel in my life. Why a temple marriage is something to strive for. Why we put our personal lives on hold for 18 or 24 months and serve the Lord. I am now able to truly appreciate everything my parents taught me.
