Hi I'm Jeremy

I love music. I play the saxophone. I love temples. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up a Christian but I never exercised my faith. I very rarely went to church. We only attended church maybe once every couple months. In high school, I wanted to choose a denomination because as I was growing up, I was unaware of my family's denominations. Instead of asking my parents what they were, I chose my own. I became a non-denominational Christian. During the spring semester of my freshman year of college, I met my girlfriend, who is a Mormon. She introduced the Church to me and I become curious so I did some research on my own. After a few months of investigating, something clicked inside me. I felt as if the things I was learning could be true. In July of 2013, I met a pair of sister missionaries that would forever change my life. These missionaries are the ones that taught me lessons before I was baptized. We (my girlfriend and I) became great friends with them. When they began teaching me, I knew for sure that the Church is true. On August 10, 2013 I was baptized and the following week I was confirmed as a member of the Church. I am the only Mormon in my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord's true church. Being a member of this church has given me so much happiness and blessed my life in so many ways. Being a Mormon has helped me become a better person and has helped guide me in the right direction.

How I live my faith

I enjoy doing family history work on FamilySearch.org. It's a great site that allows members of the Church to build their family tree and find names of ancestors that need temple ordinances completed. I've learned a lot about my family's history by doing family history work using this site. For example, another user of the site uploaded information about my ancestors and I discovered it just by putting in the names of family members that I already know. I traced my family's history all way back to Germany in the 1600s. I pray every night before I go to sleep. I attend church every Sunday.
