Hi I'm Amarae Huffaker

I was born and raised in the wonderful state of Utah. I've been called to serve in the Jackson, Mississippi mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a person who has a serious case of wanderlust. There's nothing that seems to give me more of a sense of adventure than traveling the world and seeing the beauties of all God's creations. The most important things in my life are the big three: my family and relationships with the people in my life, this amazing gospel I'm grateful to be a part of, and the opportunities and blessings that my Heavenly Father has allowed me to have my entire life. In my free time I love to play and watch sports, but I especially love playing soccer. I had the wonderful opportunity to play for Southern Virginia University for a season before coming home to prepare for a mission. I love reading, painting, being with my family, and trying to enjoy life as much as I possibly can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I truly believe that I have a very compassionate Heavenly Father that knew by sending me here to Earth, that I would make mistakes, be misguided, have trials and tribulation but loved me enough to let me experience all of those hardships so that I might feel extreme delight, true joy, and unconditional happiness. I love this gospel and the person that it has made me be in a world that has corruption and misleading ways of living. I am more confident in who I am and what I can do, and have the surety that I am a daughter of God by studying and living this gospel. I also have the faith that families are eternal and that to me, is just another wonderful reason this church and it's teachings are so incredible.

How I live my faith

This church is based upon happiness, love and service. In other words, our sole purpose is to be charitable people to the best of our ability. I try serving my family and loved ones as much as I can but I especially try to reach outside my bubble and look for service opportunities in the community. Food and Care Coalitions, Soup Kitchens and small acts of kindness are perfect for serving your fellowmen.
