Hi I'm Mikelle

I'm a mom, a wife, and a friend. I love to make and share delicious food with those I love. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom of 4 kids. I love to ride bikes, bake, play, work, and read books to my kids. I am a wife of 11 years to my best friend. We love to work, play, dream, talk, and laugh together. I graduated with a degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from college. Now I'm trying to use all that good information to raise a happy, successful family. I love the art of homemaking and creating a little piece of heaven in my home. I love to bake, especially yummy bread. I find great joy in feeding my family and those I love delicious food. I love people and love to hear 'their' stories. I also love to garden and love the yummy vegetables that come with that. I enjoy celebrating the little things in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by amazing and faithful parents who loved us and taught us the gospel by both word and deed. I recognized at a young age the joy, happiness, and peace that the gospel brings. I can't remember ever not feeling that it was right. As a teenager I took the challenge offered in Alma to experiment upon the word. The results came as incredible experiences with the spirit as I studied the Book of Mormon and found answers to the questions and challenges I was facing. My testimony has grown line upon line as I've continued to experiment upon the word and reap the rich blessings that come through following His plan. I have come to know and dearly love the Savior as I've studied His word and the words of His prophets, both ancient and modern. I still cherish the joy, happiness and peace, even amidst trials, that I find as I try to follow His plan of happiness. It is a guide and an anchor in a world of constant turmoil. I cannot imagine my life without the sweetness of the gospel. It is interwoven in every aspect of my life and makes me who I am.

How I live my faith

Each day I am trying to be like Jesus. I listen for promptings and watch for opportunities to serve those around me. I volunteer in the school and visit those in my neighborhood. Most often that service happens in my own home. I read and study the scriptures, pray, and try to find opportunities to testify and teach in the small moments. Over the years I've been blessed to serve in a variety of callings. Each one has helped me learn to love more like the Savior, draw closer to Him, strengthen my testimony, and develop my talents. I'm especially grateful for the opportunity to serve and worship in the temple.
