Hi I'm Kate

I grew up in Southern California. I love to sing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am attending BYU and studying Physiology and Developmental Biology, and I want to attend medical school. I love to play the piano, the ukulele, and the cello. I love to read everything. I'm one of six girls and wouldn't trade my sisters for anything in the world. I served as a Church missionary for a year and a half in Argentina. I love my family and my Savior Jesus Christ more than words can describe.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it gives me knowledge and comfort. After reading and praying about the Book of Mormon multiple times, I realized that I had known all along that it was true, because I had felt joy as I studied it and tailored my life to its principles of love, compassion, and missionary work. The great emphasis that the gospel places on family has also been a grounding point for me - my relationships with my family have been strong largely because I know that I will be able to live with them for eternity. The gospel of Jesus Christ also gives me peace because I know that I can find hope even in difficulty, because my Redeemer has suffered the exact same things I have and can lift my burdens if I place my faith in Him. I have experienced this hope and peace firsthand - it is stronger than any medicine or remedy. I love the spiritual safety I feel as a member of the Lord's church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. I have found that the small acts of kindness are the most powerful in communicating Christlike love. I also served a mission in Argentina this past year and a half.
