Hi I'm Seth Ostler Nielson

I'm a six foot four high school graduate, born in Colorado and grew up in Utah. I love music, friends, and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I don't usually have time for hobbies, but in the time I do have I like to find ways to make a meaningful day with a friend or family member. I plan on attending college in the future studying some major in Information Technology. I love working with computers and connecting with others, and though I can't sit in a chair and code for hours I still hope to find a career in this field. I've played the french horn since 7th grade, it's most majestic instrument in the whole band in my opinion. Besides everything else, the most fulfilling day for me is one filled with genuine service that really helps someone.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon, but that's not why I choose to be one. There's a truth in life that at some point you need to come to know things for yourself, not just what you've been taught. I couldn't identify some single moment that can explain why I know that the LDS church is the only true church on the earth. As with anything important that is learned in this life, it's the culmination of many experiences that combine to create a solid and real belief. Time after time, I've tested the claims made by the LDS church. Answers haven't always come immediately, but I know they always come. I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and listens when I pray. He answers my prayers, and because I've felt His love for me I choose to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

A great deal of my time is dedicated to my religion. In truth it's the foundation of my life, it's what gives me purpose. Everything I get to do as part of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is uplifting and beneficial not only to me but to everyone around me. For about two years almost I've been working with other youth my age to learn more about Christ each Sunday. We spend an hour outside of church and meet in a building to learn how to better understand and live the gospel of Christ. I have been an aid to the leaders, helping plan and organize the weekly meetings.
