Hi I'm David

I'm a 4th grade teacher in Utah. I love fishing and hiking. I'm an Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I enjoy spending time with my family in church activities, fishing, visiting Yellow Stone, hiking in the Uintah Mountains, and experiencing the great outdoors with my wife and children. I'm an elementary teacher. My students are very important to me. I believe each of my students is a child of our Heavenly Father with great potential. I love seeing the excitement in their eyes as they make new discoveries in learning. My family loves celebrating holidays, cutting down Christmas trees, and snowmobiling in the mountains. One of our favorite places to go is our family cabin.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the atonement of Jesus Christ. He has always been there for me, even when I have not deserved it. He is my elder brother and I feel my Savior's love. I have studied the scriptures. I have talked to many people and I have done as the ancient prophet Moroni has asked us to do. Through living the teachings of Jesus Christ, I have grown in faith and trust in the Lord. A scripture in the Book of Mormon (Moroni 10:3-4) invites us to ask God in the name of Jesus Christ if these things are true. I have done so and through the power of the Holy Ghost, He has given me a witness that the church was restored to its fullness. I know that God lives and Jesus is the Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and we have a prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson. I have heard him speak and like Christ, he speaks as one having authority. The priesthood has been restored and this is important to all we do. I love my family, I'm grateful to my Savior for His atonement. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have been a Scout Master and taught my scouts how to be believer's in Christ and how to help others in the community. I served a mission for the LDS church in the great state of Wisconsin. It was wonderful to meet new people and find out about new cultures. I loved teaching people about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Praying and keeping in close contact with my Father in Heaven has always been important to me. Being thankful and showing gratitude to others as well as my Heavenly Father and my elder brother Jesus Christ are important to my faith.
