Hi I'm Braden

I am an animal scientist, a student, a sports enthusiast and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy working with animals and am currently working towards a masters degree in animal nutrition. I have been married for almost a year and a half and have enjoyed every minute of it. I enjoy spending my time outside in the wonderful world God has created for us. I like boating, camping, fishing and exploring new roads or mountain trails. I enjoy playing many sports such as golf, volleyball, basketball, and waterskiing. My family is very important to me and I look forward to the time I get to spend with them. I like to make people laugh and smile. I think it is important to find the things in life that we can be happy about and grateful for.

Why I am a Mormon

To me, being a Mormon is much more than just belonging to a church. It is a way of life, a way of thinking and being. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, died for me and has the power to forgive me of my sins. I know that because Jesus has suffered for me he knows how to personally help me to become the man I want to be. I know that Jesus has the power to heal me from anything that might be holding me back from becoming more like him. I enjoy this change that I can make everyday in my life so that I can be better tomorrow than I was yesterday. This is a goal, a path that I strive to be on as I live my life as a Mormon. I know that God cares for me and wants me to be happy. I know that God is my Father in Heaven and that he hears and answers my prayers. I know that He hears and answers the prayers of all those that are praying all around the world. That is why I know that God has called a prophet to guide His children here on this earth. Just like Moses of the Old Testament or Peter of the New Testament, God talks to and guides a man here on the earth today. I know that God has set up an organization were his children can make sacred promises with Him such as baptism and receiving the Holy Ghost. This organization is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that God lives and loves me. I know he wants me to be happy and to find joy in my life. I find joy in following God's commandments, being kind to others, and being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I actively participate in my local congregation, or ward, in many ways. I am part of a presidency that overlooks the well being and spiritual growth of a couple dozen young married men. I enjoy this because it allows me to get to know many of my peers, friends and neighbors. I also enjoy being a part of sporting activities that are put on by my local church group.
