Hi I'm Kristen

I'm an artist, a student, a wife, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 21 year old student, married to my best friend for one year and counting. I love my family, my pomeranian, and being outside. I'm currently studying Drawing and Painting. I love to create and make things beautiful, whether it's baked goodies, my living room mantle, or a collection of succulent plants. Above all those things, I love to paint. Set me up with a canvas and some brushes and I become blissfully unaware of the several hours that pass until I set them down again. My favorite things to paint are landscapes and people; God's most beautiful creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because each time I kneel down to pray, I know that Someone is listening. Prayer is my lifeline. I know this because often the most difficult times in my life are those times when prayer has taken the back burner. But as soon as I remember to ask Heavenly Father for help, I feel His love and comfort in my heart. Consistent and sincere prayer brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior, and helps me get to know Them as perfect, loving, eternal beings. Through prayer, I have been guided to make decisions that have brought me to where I am now. There's been times in my life when I thought I knew the best direction to take, but after prayer I knew that God had something different in mind. And His plan always works out better than mine ever could. He knows me, my needs, and my potential. This is His church, and I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I play the piano in church. Though I'm no concert pianist, I love music and being able to share it. Hymns have a special way of inviting the spirit and allowing me to immediately feel the love of my Heavenly Father. I also visit a few women in my neighborhood regularly to check up on them and just be a friend. It's nice to know that someone cares about and remembers you, and offers help even when you don't think to ask for it.
