Hi I'm Connor

I was born and raised in Arizona. I love sports and working hard to achieve my goals. I am a Mormon

About Me

My name is Connor and I am currently a college student studying computer science. I love maintaining an active lifestyle through playing sports and doing anything that can work up a sweat. Get me on a football field and I can have the time of my life. But I am not just a jock. I consider myself a pretty nerdy guy who loves to play video games and enjoy playing different kinds of table-top games.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because I know that it is the true path to happiness. It is an amazing feeling to have the spirit with me as a constant companion. To guide and direct me in the right direction, and helped me greatly in making my decision to serve a full-time mission. During high school and early on in college I was going down a path that I knew would not lead to happiness. I was hanging around the wrong people and was making some bad decisions, and I know what it is like to have the Spirit almost completely void from my life. But I decided to turn my life around after I was in a major accident that almost took my life and left me in the hospital for 3 weeks. It grew my testimony knowing the power of prayer and the level of support that the church gave my family. The Spirit was a great comfort to my family as I was recovering. What was supposed to take more than 6 weeks and impair me for the rest of my life was only a 3 week stay at the hospital and led to a full recovery. I know that God loves every single one of us and wants us all to achieve great things. If we have faith in him and can live by his teachings than we can truly reach our full potential in life.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and have grown a love for teaching. I was a Sunday school teacher for an amazing group of 14 and 15 year old boys and girls that made an amazing impression on me as I prepare to serve a mission. Not long after that I received the calling of a ward mission, which is to teach a class of adults who have recent became members, to teach them the basics of the Church. I am a very strong believer in teaching by example, knowing how I looked up to older children and missionaries when I was growing up, and that my peers who know I am Mormon are watching me and they can see how I can effect the lives of others. That perhaps the light of Christ can touch their lives.
