Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I'm a wife, sister, and daughter. I'm a student. I want to make a change in the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I am currently a senior in college, studying Theatre Education. My goal after graduation is to teach middle school drama and English classes. I love everything about theatre and hope to be able to use theatre to help people learn about themselves and grow in their confidence and sense of self-worth. I am married and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am the youngest of 6 children, all girls. I am very close to my family, and although most of us are married and starting our own families we still love to get together and spend time with each other. When I am not working or at school, I enjoy reading, sewing, baking, watching movies, and spending time outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

l am a Mormon for many reasons. I absolutely love this gospel! l was born into a family that was very strong in the Mormon faith. Throughout my life, l have had many experiences that have strengthened my testimony that I have had since my youth. The main reason that l am a Mormon is that this gospel gives me an opportunity to communicate with, and draw closer to my Heavenly Parents and Jesus Christ. I know that I have someone looking out for me from above and that I have a purpose here on earth. l am also a Mormon because of the belief that families are forever. l love my family and cannot wait to be with them for all eternity. I know that because of the covenants that I have made in the temple that I am sealed to my family forever and that we will be able to live and serve together in this life and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

l live my faith by example. My entire life l have been surrounded by people of all faiths and backgrounds and l have enjoyed that opportunity. My faith is a big part of my life and I believe that the happiness that I feel because of my beliefs will be evident through my actions and attitude toward life. l also believe that it is important to listen to and respect the faiths of others. I feel that sharing beliefs with others and Conversing about religion is a great way to gain an understanding of people's backgrounds and learn more about the overall human experience. l know the power of daily prayer and Scripture Study. I know that if l reach out to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that they are there to help me through both the struggles and triumphs in my life. I am currently serving as a ward librarian and a visiting teacher in my ward, both of which help me to reach out to others and be an example.
