Hi I'm Ivan Tang

I grew up in Hong Kong. I met missionaries when I was fourteen years old. I am a convert.

About Me

I like Blue Bell and eating a lot. I also like being alone sometimes.

Why I am a Mormon

I got baptized when I was fifteen. I already started to meet with missionaries since I met them on the street when I was fourteen. Soon, I came to know the restored gospel is true through reading the book of Mormon, pondering and a lot of prayers, so I accepted baptismal invitation. However, my parents didn't let me get baptized then, so I just kept to read the Book of Mormon before baptism. I still felt the restored gospel is true even though a lot of people tried to stop me believing that and this church. After a year and a half, I finally and specially got baptized. I was super happy about that. Right now, I am a full-time missionary in Texas Houston South Mission and I always testify how the restored gospel of Jesus Christ blesses my life and invite other to come unto Christ through learning the the gospel truths. Although I don't all things, I know what I know and what I am really teaching about or testify of because I am learning these things in person.

How I live my faith

I keep God's commandments and strive to be a real disciple of Jesus Christ. I don't know how to say some fancy and awesome story, but I practice my religion through my action. I live the gospel instead of showing off what I know about Christ. When I was going through hard time and struggling to earn a living, I pay my Tithing consistently ; after I know my friend who just graduated from the same highschool as me slept in a park for 2 weeks and because he got a similar family problem with me, so I took him in and we lived together in the time of sorrow. Somehow the worst thing happened before going on my mission, but it all worked out with God's help.
