Hi I'm Jake

I play the drums, football, basketball, and baseball. I love music and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been very involved with physical activities for kids and young adults with special needs. I currently help a young man with special needs to be active and exercise, I have been a part of different programs involving the Special Olympics. I love the people I am around and I am a strong advocate for finding the best in every single person I come in contact with. I have been very involved with football, basketball, and baseball for a long time and along with those, I have been both a drummer for a band and in an orchestra over a career of 10 years of drumming.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am a Mormon is because I feel the Lord's love rest upon me every time I live what I learn. Happiness is my only goal in life. The church requires my best efforts of service and obedience, not for the churches sake, but because it brings me the highest degree of joy! Being a Mormon makes me happy and that is why I have chosen to be one.

How I live my faith

I have been given many leadership callings over my peers and I have had and do continue to have opportunities to teach and to bear testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel. I love this church, my Heavenly Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost with every fiber of my body. I serve by trying to lead by example. I have many chances to share my faith during athletic competitions and the values that are taught in the church directly convert over to how I should carry myself in sports.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

We are called Mormons because of the book that we have that is called The Book of Mormon. The reason it is called The Book of Mormon is because an ancient prophet named Mormon is the main writer and author of the accounts therein. Show more Show less
