Hi I'm Larry

I grew up in Logan, Utah. I love the outdoors and my beautiful family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In my younger years I spent a lot of time skiing, fishing, backpacking and working outside. I graduated from Utah State University and enjoy a career in manufacturing administration. I'm a husband and father of four. I've loved raising a family with my wonderful wife of 26 years and am now moving into a new phase of life as our children slowly marry and leave the home. In my spare time I love to garden and enjoy as much of the outdoors as possible. Recently I built a apple cider press and now enjoy fresh apple cider year round.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have studied and pondered the teachings of Jesus Christ, I have learned to feel His love in my life and recognize it in the world around me. It truly is a message of love and happiness. I have found in my personal search for happiness that I must align myself to that which produces good feelings and brightens the heart. I have chosen to follow the admonition of the the ancient Apostle Paul. He suggested to the Philippians in the New Testament things we should think about, if we want to feel the peace of God, when he said, "...whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." All that is good is taught in the Bible and Book of Mormon. Through simple prayer and study the Holy Ghost has witnessed to me these things are true, so I follow them and live my life accordingly as best I can.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed 20 years of working with young men in the Boy Scouts of America and other church youth activities. I have also come to love the elderly people in my neighborhood and have enjoyed helping them with their many needs. As a family we have shared produce from our garden, shoveled snow, mowed lawns, pruned trees and anything else we could do to keep our children occupied learning how to serve others. It really has been one of the great highlights of our lives. I served a full time mission in Quebec, Canada and learned to speak "Quebecois" (French). It was a wonderful and cherished experience. I currently serve in local leadership in the church and have the opportunity to teach and testify of Jesus Christ often.
