Hi I'm Brendan

I grew up in Texas, I'm preparing to leave on a mission to Finland, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Texas and lived there for about 12 years. My family moved to New Mexico at that point for my dad's new job and that's where I finished middle school and attended high school. I then went to go to a semester of college at BYU Idaho while my family moved to California. After that semester I came back to live with my family and work to save money for my mission. I'm currently preparing to leave on my mission for Helsinki, Finland. I'm so excited to be leaving to serve my mission. Some hobbies I have are any sport, video games, snow boarding and hanging out with friends. I'm happy with my life and hopefully it will only get better from here.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was growing up I never really had a testimony of the church, I just accepted it and went on with my life to make things easy. Eventually there came a point where I was at EFY, a youth camp for the church. At EFY I had a moment I will never forget that helped gain, and grow, and strengthen my testimony. During a testimony meeting where we share our testimonies, I could feel the spirit so strongly telling me that what I was hearing and learning was true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. I do service when I can and actively attend church activities and meetings. When I was attending college at BYU Idaho I was a home teacher for my fellow roommates and an apartment of sisters in our ward. The home teaching companionship was helpful in that I got to serve these people, but I also became close friends with these people. We also had family home evening with the same people which was a great experience, we essentially became a family, we could count on each other to be there for one another.
