Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in Wyoming and now live and work with farmers in Northern California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of three wonderful kids. I grew up snow skiing and skied full-time during and after college. I have retired from skiing and now enjoy trail / ultra running. I work for the world's largest drip irrigation company sharing technologies with farmers to help them grow more with less.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a wonderful family where we attended the Mormon church. I learned the principles of Christianity and loving our neighbors. As a teenager, my mother contracted leukemia. After battling for many years, she passed away when I was 14 years old. This event allowed me to ask the hard questions - Does God really exist? Why does he let bad things happen? Does he have a plan for me? I received the answer to these questions. I had been taught the answers to these questions all my life, but now, even at a young age, knew them to be true. I have felt the spirit of my Father in Heaven many times throughout my life. I know I am his son, he knows and loves me, and that the truths being taught in His church are complete.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in a leadership roll of my local congregation where I have the privilege to help others strengthen their relationships with their Father in Heaven. I love spending time with our amazing youth. I learn from their strength and testimonies. I especially love backpacking with the young men and enjoying the great things our Father has created for us.
