Hi I'm Tom Nilsen

I play the piano and the guitar, I played football in High School, I haul hay for my family's horses and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I earned my varsity letter playing football for Layton High School, I love hunting, fishing, camping and everything that goes with that. I love music and enjoy playing guitar and piano, I worked at a movie theater for two years where I sold popcorn and tickets to movies, my family lives on a sort-of farm where we grow alfalfa hay for the horses that we own and we take care of that.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel has brought me great happiness throughout my life. It has made me a better and happier person. It has helped me to aspire to new things and hope for something greater than what we have in this life. It teaches me new things everyday and reminds about as often for our Heavenly Father's love for us. I know He watches over us and that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to be and example for us and provide a way that we can return to His presence after we finish our work here on the earth. I know he sends his spirit to comfort us and that he has living prophets that guide us in our journey home.

How I live my faith

I love scouting. I'm very active in my ward's scout unit and I do a lot with them including camping and earning merit badges and I earned my scout award. I go hometeaching with my father every month that we can. I've served as a Sunday-School teacher for the 7 year-olds and the 9 year-olds. I enjoy talking to people and doing service for others and helping out in any way that I am able. I do the best I can to live and be an example of what I believe in.
