Hi I'm Ruth Camille

I exercise the Gift of Interpretation and of Translation as I learn languages, a hobby that I really love. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the covenant, and I know I've been very blessed my whole life even with the trials I encounter because of the choice my parents made-- they got married in the House of the Lord. One of the most noticeable blessings I received is the Gift of the Spirit to be able to understand a language other than my native tongue, Tagalog based Filipino. I first learned English when I was in Kindergarten, then Bisaya (another Filipino dialect) because my father's side of the family is from Mindanao. Next, I learned Japanese, because I like reading manga and watching anime;Korean, because of a boy band I admire. After that, I learned a lot of words and phrases of European languages, like French, Norwegian, German. And, I know all these things right now not all on my own, but with the help and guidance of my Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, and the companionship of the Holy Ghost.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, not because my parents are, not because I was first brought here, but because I have a growing testimony of my own: I know that Heavenly Father loves me, that He is up there caring and guiding my daily life; I testify that Jesus Christ lives, that He suffered so much for me; I believe in Joseph Smith, that God called him to restore the true church on Earth in order to save us in these last days; I know the Book of Mormon to be true; I know Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet of God. In as much as I could basically place here, I know I have heard the truthfulness of the gospel in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am currently in the Young Women's group of 14 to 15 years old called Mia Maid, and I always love being able to help people my age in any way I can. I love attending cultural activities conducted by the Church as it helps me express myself as an individual and, at the same time, as a daughter of my Heavenly Father. I also work for the missionaries whenever I have the vacant time. I join them, not to just hang out, but to observe how the work of the Lord (to spread His words to the Gentiles and bring back lost souls in His presence) is done. And someday, I'll do my part of the work-- to be a full-time missionary.
