Hi I'm Jeni

God did a really good job making this world and I want to see it all. I love my Savior my Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a work in progress. I love learning about the world I get to live in and the people that surround me. I am a strong believer that chocolate can make life better and that it's better to laugh, but sometimes crying is okay. Music is the way to my heart and soul. I'm not a bubbly person but I try to keep a positive attitude and to smile even if I don't feel like it. I want to share the gospel with the whole world because it makes me happy and is the single best thing in my life (a close second is my family). I think that the most worthwhile things in life are rarely easy and the gospel is no different but I know that without it I would be lost. God has been so good to me, I am so blessed. I know He is aware of me and my problems and I know He is always cheering me on.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know for myself that there is no better way to live my life. The LDS church is the true gospel of Jesus Christ restored once more to the earth and I'm so excited to be a part of that. I am a Mormon because I want to be with my family forever, and I want to be with my husband (whoever he is) for time and all eternity - not until death do us part. I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father wants me to come back home and when I die I want to be confident in the presence of my God.

How I live my faith

I am a youth leader and I am loving it. I don't think that I'm the best at what I do but i definitely try. I love going to the weekly activities along with the sabbath day services.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is a joyful experience. My life is not perfect, not by a long shot. But I am happier when I live by the church's standards. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

What doesn't tell me that there's a God? I have been so so blessed in my life, and when I look back at it I can see the hand of God directing me to places and people. I know there's a God because there are some things in this world that are far too magnificent and beautiful and intricate and amazing to be coincidences. I can tell there's a God because human beings are incredible and powerful and we are created in God's image - C.S. Lewis said "It is a serious thing to live in a society of possible gods and goddesses, to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship...There are no ordinary people." What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

First and foremost - WE LOVE GAYS. We love everyone as sons and daughters of God! That being said, everyone has trials and struggles throughout this mortal life. For some people, homosexual tendencies is one of those trials. But God has declared that marriage is between a man and a woman and one of the reasons for that is because the sacred powers of procreation are just that - sacred. And should only be performed between the right man and the right woman at the right time within the bonds of marriage. The best way God works is through families and God has taught us through revelation that families are to be led with a man and a woman at the head. Show more Show less
