Hi I'm Mindy

I am married to my Best Friend, Mother, Business owner, Dreamer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being your own business owner, mother, wife, can be challenging at times! These are some of the most greatest blessings I have been blessed with, yet some of the more challenging. Finding time to work and be a stay at home mom is always a balancing game. I am also a photographer, dreamer, and doodler in my time off.... oh wait.... time off...... I don't get time off. But I do enjoy those hobbies also! My ultimate gift is being a mother and wife. It has filled my life more fully than any job, business, or career I could ever create or obtain.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents divorced when I was about 8 years old. I was baptized into the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but became inactive once my parents divorced. Growing up I became more and more hard towards God and religion. I can remember a day I literally threw my scriptures in the garbage and thinking, "There is no God." After I graduated high school I moved in with some friends of mine. They were active in the Church of Jesus Christ and going to a singles ward. The movie "Passions of the Christ" had just come out and I remember them talking about how amazing and good it was. They asked me to go see it with them. So I did. I remember coming home that night, and was SO moved. I got down on my knees for what felt as the first time ever, and prayed. I didn't even know if I was doing it right, I just prayed and poured my heart out to God. I told him sorry for not believing, that I loved his Son, I knew what he sacrificed for me and asked for forgiveness. I remember feeling my heart BURN inside my chest. It was a moment that changed my life. I started attending the singles ward with my friends. Talked with my bishop, and started to feel cleansed, and whole, something I hadn't felt. I testify that this gospel is true. I have seen it personally work miracles in my life. I live a life rich and so pure that I never thought I could live before coming back to church. The ATONEMENT is REAL. I know he is there when we seek him. He waits. He waits for ALL of us to return to HIM.

How I live my faith

I currently was serving as a Bear Scout Den Leader. Very busy, exhausting, and REWARDING calling. It was definitely a calling that I think I learned more from than my boys did. It pulled me from my comfort zone and grew my testimony of the gospel. I have recently been called to be the Compassionate Service Member of our Church, and I am looking forward to serving people in our neighborhood and ward. Being in service to others is what my spirit needs here in this life!

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

YES! Wouldn't life be so confusing to us all if we didn't have a modern living prophet? No one to lead us and to keep us safe from the teachings of man, over the teachings of God? We know for surety what the Lord wants best for us at a certain time because there is only 1 man who can communicate what the Lord wants for the church and it's people. I know Joseph Smith saw God and his Son. I know he was a prophet of God. I know that President Monson holds all the keys on this earth today . I know that he communicates with God. I can feel it and see it in my own life using the principles and advice he gives us. If you really listen to what the Prophet has to say, there is no doubt he speaks with God. How grateful I am to know that there is no confusion on what to believe because I have a Prophet to listen to and find council from. Show more Show less
