Hi I'm Justin Brasher

I grew up all over the place in Utah. I love movies and am going into film making. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love art, drawing, I love music and have a soft spot for rock and hard rock. I enjoy reading and writing. I'm a very creative person. I'm 20 years old and am currently on a mission. I was mostly home taught with some high school experience where I met some of my best friends. I love scary stories (ya I know, what a shocker), favorite author is Stephen King, though I'm open to almost any genre of fiction, as long as its good story telling. I'm an eagle scout and was in the boy scouts for all of my teen years. I love movies and am excited to, following my mission, become a writer/director/producer and make my own films. My view on movies is pretty similar to my view on books and fiction, if its made well, chances are I'll like it. I have no bias on any genre of film, only on bad examples of said genre. Having said earlier that I love horror, I wouldn't go around watching every horror movie I know of cause unfortunately most of them suck. But the few that are good I love. I love Drama, Action, Sci Fi, Fantasy, War, Historical, Etc. That's me in a nutshell.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have since always been a member. I have had times where I've wondered if this church is true. Sometimes it seems hard to believe that a fourteen year old boy really had such a fantastic experience so long ago. But I've always kept with it because of some very personal experiences I had when I was younger that are indisputable to me of the reality of the truthfulness of this Church . I have no doubt had some rough patches. But I'll always have faith in Jesus Christ and in his church that he has established today on this Earth. I know that Joseph Smith was called as a Prophet of God, for how else could a man so young write an entire 531 page history of an ancient people and include many correct principles found the Bible? I wouldn't be able to do it and I've no doubt had much more education right now then he had then, and I'm a writer for crying out loud. I could never have done what he could do, especially not in the time frame he did it in. There is so much in the Book of Mormon that parallels the Bible and goes hand in hand with it, not to mention how there isn't continuity problems with the chronology of the Book of Mormon. That being said, the feeling I get when reading the Book of Mormon is an awesome one, the Holy Spirit of God. I know that our prophet is God's appointed leader of the Church today, you can feel it in the way he speaks when he talks. I know that what I am doing right now is where I'm supposed to be, to be able to gain that connection with God that I could never get so easily in any other setting. I know that I'm supposed to be here to help those whom God has prepared for me to teach, come to Christ. I say that in the name of Jesus Christ, amen

How I live my faith

Currently, I am serving a mission in Iowa, where I am expected to live to the highest standard. There, I am finding and teaching people and helping them come to Christ. I've only just begun so I haven't gotten very for yet. I've served in various different positions in the church youth groups I was in. Before my mission. I went to the Young Single Adult ward where I lived. I also served as a home teacher in said ward, visiting some of the members, getting to know them and sharing with them messages that will better help them in their lives.
